SUMMARY:Community Presentation: Teen Suicide...Breaking the Silence
DESCRIPTION:Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among 10-24 year olds.\n	Suicide takes about 4\,600 lives each year.\n	An average of 5\,400 suicide attempts occur every in the U.S.\n	4 out of 5 teens who attempt suicide have given clear warning signs.\n	Suicide...the silent epidemic.\n\nThese are staggering statistics that can be prevented.  We need to break the silence\, remove the stigma and begin the necessary conversations about teen mental health\, depression...and suicide.\n\n\n\nWe invite the Community to join us for an informative evening with Kim Hess\, founder of Cassidy Joined for Hope\, who will share her personal story of her daughter\, Cassidy\, who fell victim to suicide at the age of 16 when she had everything to live for.  Kim's mission is to help prevent teen suicide by providing awareness\, resources\, support and education to schools and communities in order to help save our teens.
