DESCRIPTION:The Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts is excited to present its first-ever D a de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festival on Saturday\, October 30\, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Held outdoors on the grounds of the museum\, the Pearl's celebration will include a live performance by Houston Aztec Dance\, hands-on art activities\, face painting\, scavenger hunts and more. Guests can also learn how and why ofrendas are created\, and honor ancestors on a temporary chalk memorial. Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume and the community is warmly invited to attend. Admission is free. Following the festival\, a concert will be held at 4 p.m. in the Main Gallery of the museum. Guests will enjoy vocal\, piano and cello selections for the Day of the Dead\, All Saints Day\, and Halloween. Concert tickets are $35 for museum members and $45 for non-members.
