In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Kinsmen Lutheran Church will host a weekend of gatherings on February 26 and 27. In February, 1972, the congregation was formally organized as Kinsmen Lutheran Church. To celebrate that milestone, a special evening will be held Saturday, February 26 at the church, including dinner and a program. Former pastors and staff will be on hand to celebrate the occasion as well. Tickets are $30 per person through February 21, or $50 per person after that date. To reserve your place, visit kinsmenlutheran.org. Worship services on Sunday, February 27 will celebrate Kinsmen’s 50 years of ministry, with an anniversary brunch in the Community Life Center starting at 9:45 a.m. A free will offering will be accepted. Both events are open to the community as well as current and former members of Kinsmen Lutheran Church. For more information please visit kinsmenlutheran.org. The February events are the highlight of the congregation’s anniversary celebration, “Changing Seasons, Unchanging God,” which is being observed throughout the year to honor milestones in Kinsmen’s history. Located at 12100 Champion Forest Drive in Houston, Kinsmen Lutheran Church is “In the Community…for Good,” a congregation that strives to be rooted in faith and relevant to life.
